Abstract

The aim of this study is to probe adequacy level of service of children's play areas, quarter-neighbourhood parks and sport facilities that effectuate green spaces on quarter-neighbourhood level in the terms of spatial sufficiency and accessibility sampling in the field of Burdur city. In the study, the method based on the evaluation of quantitative data, gained from field-detection studies and, air photo, available map of 1/1.000 scale Burdur city, was followed in terms of spatial sufficiency and accessibility potentialities. At the end of the study, it was designated that Burdur city form shows uneven distribution in terms of spatial sufficiency and accessibility potentialities of children playgrounds, quarter-neighbourhood parks and sport facilities that effectuate green space occupation on quarter/neighbourhood unit levels and is insufficient in the sense of spatial standards.
