Abstract

Abstract The article aims at showing that some “Marginalia” in the first two installments of the series (items 1, 4, 9, 10, 14, 22, 24, 25, 36, 55, 68, 71, 84, and maybe also 69 in Pollin's edition) were inspired by articles published in the December 1794 issue of the London journal The British Critic, a New Review.
