Abstract
This paper introduces a Networked Control System Laboratory (NCSLab) at http://www.ncslab.net, which provides a Web-based solution for real-time control experiments. By interactively incorporating a Web server, a MySQL database server, a MATLAB/RTW server, several experiment servers, ARM based control unit and physical test rigs, the NCSLab achieves the complicated process of automatic real-time code generation and remote monitoring/tuning inside Web browsers. Users can access NCSLab from anywhere at any time to control all the test rigs in NCSLab. They just need a simple Web browser, and then can easily design their own control algorithms using Simulink diagrams and verify them in practical experiments of various test rigs in NCSLab. An example of the NCSLab based experiment is given to demonstrate that the NCSLab can effectively provide Web-based real-time experiments services for the control engineering research and education.
