Abstract

Nowadays, the renewable energy sources based pumping system is the most economical configuration to lift the water from rivers or canals for sustainable and social development. These renewable energy sources are integrated to pumping system through high-voltage gain DC-DC boost converter. A multi-input non-isolated DC-DC boost converter plays a significant role in combined solar-PV/BESS energy integration for water pumping system. These converters have compact size, efficient and reliable performance over the single-input DC-DC converters. In this work, a feasible design of switched-inductor type multi-input DC-DC boost converter with combined energy sources has been proposed for obtaining high voltage gain. The performance of proposed switched-inductor MIDBC structure is integrated to combined solar-PV/BESS sources to drive the BLDC motor drive for water-pumping system is evaluted by using Matlab/Simulation tool, results are illustrated.
