Abstract
In this paper, a crystalline silicon solar cell module with internal bypass diodes is described. Within the modules, each cell has an individual bypass diode respectively. The bypass diode is made of broken crystalline silicon solar cells. During the process of module producing, the bypass diodes were encapsulated within the modules. The advantages of the module with internal bypass diodes are: 1) Hot-spot effect can be eliminated effectively; 2) All other solar cells keep output power when a shadowed or faulty cell exists in the module; 3) Make the design simple for the junction box of a module. From this research, patent right was authorized.
