Abstract

The hardware and software structures are great different between heterogeneous unmanned systems, which will make their development and management difficult, and increase the cost of collaborative operation. To solve this problem, this paper proposes a software-defined modular architecture for the heterogeneous unmanned system. The modulation architecture and reconfiguration management can effectively shield the difference of unmanned equipment. The common waveforms and services can be built as components or modules, which can be ported and reused from one unmanned platform to another. Due to the proposed architecture, the portability and reusability of the heterogeneous unmanned system could be improved. Moreover, the development and upgrade of the unmanned clusters will be consistent and their collaborative operation can be easily achieved with the common waveform components and functional modules.
