Abstract

The traffic light and road lamp have been gradually replaced with LEDs in recent years. The lamp often operated for a long time during the whole night, possibly exceeds ten hours. The lamp will be destroyed or the lifespan reduction if heat sinker or heat consumer is not good dealt. In traditional design for temperature protection, the lamp will be whole shut down when sensor detects the trigger temperature reached. During the time interval, the lighting does not functional work at all and the road is all darkness. In the work, microchip, sensors, thermistors, and solar cell are successfully integrated as a smart LED lighting system. The system is with many advantages of human body sensing, LED lamp with multiple dimming, and temperature automatic protection. We try to balance the 'high efficiency', 'low energy consumption' and 'user friendly' by using techniques of various sensor and microchip controller.
