Abstract
A small and convenient high-temperature vacuum furnace has been constructed, suitable for heating gram quantities of material at temperatures up to 2500° C. under pressures of 10-4 - 10-5 mm. of mercury. The limiting factor in the design is the creep rate of the tungsten heating elements used.
