Abstract

Through the great kinidness of the respective Librarians, Sir Geoffrey BUTLER and the Reverend G. A. SCHNEIDER, I have lately beeni able to look at the manuscripts of Odoric which are kept in the libraries of Corpus Christi College anid Gonville and Caius College at Cambridge. In the YULE-CORDIER bibliography in Cathay and the Way thithler, vol. 11, 1913, the C.C.C. manuscripts are numbered 1. and 2., their library marks being 275 and 407 respectively; and the Caius College manuscript is numbered 3., and has the marks 83: 162. All three are mentioned by CORDIER in his great French edition (Les Voyages eni Asie etc., 1891); and two of them by GOLUBOVICH in Arrclivumn Fran7ciscanzim Hist., X, p. 25; and by earlier editors of Odoric 1).
