Abstract

We experimentally demonstrate the resonances of single, double and array of terahertz sub-wavelength fibers. we demonstrate that the interaction between neighboring elements in the single-layer metasurface (array of fibers) can lead to enhancement or overlap of resonances. The coupling effect between the resonances either diminishes the transmission or eventuates to high transmission compared to single fiber resonances. Such a single-layer metasurface that can operate in both reflection and transmission modes, opens a new avenue to develop single-layer THz devices for wavefront engineering.
