Abstract

Based on the EMTDC/PSCAD, this paper has built a certain distribution system model. The whole process of voltage sags caused by short-circuit fault was simulated. And then Monte Carlo method is adopted to carry out the stochastic assessment of voltage sags in an industrial distribution system. Through VB.net, this study made up a simulation data processing and analysis system to carry out the analysis of the mass simulation data. The probability distribution and characteristics of voltage sags on every monitoring PCC were gained. The probability distribution and characteristics of voltage sag was compared in different operation modes of the distribution system. The paper also studies how the voltage sag influences the safety of the sensitive load and network. (7 pages)
