Abstract

An analytical solution to the problem of stress state of an adhesive compound in a new, simplified two-dimensional formulation is constructed. The hypothesis of absence of transverse displacements in the load-carrying layers is used. The stresses are assumed constant across the thickness of joint elements. The solution is constructed using the method of separation of variables. The uniform convergence of the solution is proved. A model problem is considered.
