Abstract
Abstract A saraimplified procedure for the measurement of total mercury in soils and some preliminary results for Saskatchewan are presented. Soil samoles were digested in aqua regia at low temperatures, followed by determination of Hg with a simplified flameless atomic absorption technique. Hg levels in soils analyzed ranged from 0.003 to 0.071 ug/g.
