Abstract
Using a full wave analysis method, the effective dielectric constant, characteristic impedance, loss, finite strip thickness and step discontinuity of various finline structures were obtained. The transverse transmission line (TTL) method in the Fourier transform spectral domain, combined with the moment method, were used and may be applied to a variety of planar structures. Results are shown for general unilateral and bilateral finlines, including those with asymmetry in the E-plane of the rectangular waveguide.
