Abstract

The preparation and staining procedure of an improved methyl green pyronin stain is described. With no apparent loss in specificity, the stain has the advantage of simplicity, reliability, and reproducibility, and can be used quite effectively with tissues fixed with Zenker's solution. It is believed that the use of this modified stain may prove useful in the study of lymphoid proliferations and as an adjunct in the search and identification of Reed-Sternberg cells.
