Abstract
Construction of a turntable apparatus for hourly collection of engorged ixodld ticks dropping from their small animal hosts is described. The apparatus uses a mobile host cage that passes over stationary collector pans. The unit is relatively simple and economical to build and has been used for over 1200 h without mechanical failure.
