Abstract

When using digital planning, 3-dimensional datasets must be accurately superimposed. The success of such planning (before the placement of implants, orthognathic surgery, and other procedures that require the fitting of tooth guides) is heavily reliant on the accurate superimposition of stereolithographic (STL) files on to cone-beam computed tomographic (CT) images.
