Abstract

AbstractWe discuss a simple technique that we used for quickly converting a group of Pascal programmers into a group of C programmers. Our basic approach was to use the literal definition facility of C to make C programs ‘resemble’ Pascal programs. The approach is of interest to programmers because of its utter simplicity, and to management level personnel, familiar with Pascal but not with C, because it allows them to engage in productive code reading.
