Abstract

I have read with great interest the article entitled ‘Loss of biventricular pacing due to T wave oversensing: Case report and review of the literature’ by Korantzopoulos et al. [ [1] Korantzopoulos P. Kyrlas K. Goudevenos J.A. Loss of biventricular pacing due to T wave oversensing: case report and review of the literature. Int J Cardiol. 2013; 168: 1626-1628 Abstract Full Text Full Text PDF PubMed Scopus (6) Google Scholar ]. They have represented a case with the loss of biventricular pacing due to T-wave oversensing (TWOS) and the restoration of biventricular pacing was accompanied by lowering the ventricular sensitivity. They have also mentioned about potential solutions to overcome TWOS problem. Atrial tachycardia/atrial fibrillation accounted for the majority of cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) loss. However, many programmable causes of CRT loss such as TWOS might also be detected.
