Abstract

A predispersion device is described for use with stigmatic spectrographs equipped with a grating blazed for high orders. It employs the Wadsworth prism-mirror arrangement and is extremely simple both to construct and to operate. Data are given to enable the device to be used with a prism of crown glass, heavy flint glass, or fused quartz.
