Abstract
A simple semi-analytical method is presented for calculating the resonance frequencies in an asymmetric TEM cell by estimating the equal inhomogeneous transmission line resonance frequencies for the conditions of open circuit and short circuit at the terminal. The moment method was used to calculate the capacitance of the cross-section, then the characteristic impedance along the transverse axis was obtained. A table of numerical results was obtained by solving a combined equation of the transmission line impedance transfer equation and the terminal input impedance expression in gas capacitance.
