Abstract

Euclidean quantum field theory and statistical mechanical models are considered which have been analyzed using renormalization group methods generating inductively a sequence of effective actions. We present a simple method for obtaining correlation functions directly from the effective actions. We illustrate the method applying it to the Euclidean massive Gross–Neveu model in two dimensions. The short distance behavior and long distance exponential decay follow from known results on effective actions.
