Abstract
A simple tape transport system is described which is used for the collection of short-lived nuclides emerging from a He-jet recoil transport system. It is based on pistons driven by compressed air and is both inexpensive and reliable, and allows accurate and reproducible positioning of the radioactive sources at the counting position.
