Abstract

A simple, inexpensive proportional temperature controller designed for water-bath applications is described. The controller consists of as few as ten components. A temperature control precision of +or-0.005 degrees C around a set point was achieved for as long as two hours with a maximum set-point drift of +or-0.02 degrees C over 24 hours when used in a heating mode.
