Abstract

Binary temperature-dependent interaction parameters of the Soave-Redlich-Kwong and Peng-Robinson equations of state are determined for mixtures containing helium. The interaction parameters in all helium-mixtures can be calculated by a simple generalized correlation, which is only a function of temperature, critical volume and molecular weight. Vapor-liquid equilibrium calculations using the new correlation are in excellent agreement with experimental data of binary, ternary and multicomponent systems.
