Abstract
A simply installed and operated metal−to−metal contact switch, closed by a magnetic field, is described. Delay times of 13 μsec with a jitter of 0.15 μsec have been measured. The switch has been used to close a high−voltage capacitor bank with currents of 1.3 MA rising in 30 μsec.
