Abstract

A technique is described by which a computer solution to cascade flows may be achieved using actuator disc type equations. Classical solutions to meridional flows using actuator disc concepts have been improved in recent years to remove some of the inherent restrictive assumptions. These advances may be used to study the general blade row configuration without prohibitive computer, numerical or mathematical analysis. This is achieved by using some simple numerical techniques to process the improved actuator disc equations.
