Abstract

In this study, we developed an anisotropic visco-hyperelastic constitutive model for cord-rubber composites, in which the unit-volume strain energy function could be decomposed into four parts to facilitate and simplify the identification of material parameters. The computation accuracy of the model was significantly improved by introducing viscous potential energy. A simple approach for fitting the parameters with the uniaxial tension and bias-tension experimental data was developed. The developed model was also validated by comparing the numerical results with the bias-tension experimental data under different strain rates, and very good agreement was obtained.
