Abstract
The stated purpose of this paperback book is to try "to correlate physiology and clinical medicine, presenting only the essential facts in the briefest possible manner." The author is to be congratulated for accomplishing his objective within 197 pages. He has condensed a great deal into this little volume, but I'm not at all certain that it has a place in the library of the student or of the practicing physician. The subject matter is treated superficially, and the index is inadequate. For a paperback edition, the binding is excellent, but the protective transparent coating on the cover has the same fragility and tendency to peel as the first of the popular paperback novels of 30 years ago. I cannot honestly recommend this book to serious students because of its brevity and lack of detail. For my money, I would prefer to invest in<i>Clinical Physiology</i>by Campbell and Dickinson,
