Abstract
The syntheses of pyrrolocoumarin and pyrroloquinolone derivativeshave been achieved in excellent yields from the acetylenic aminesby gold-catalyzed cycloisomerization in the absence of any silversalts or any other bases. The acetylenic amines were in turn obtainedby Sonogashira coupling of the corresponding coumarin and quinolonederivatives.
