Abstract

Abstract Triclosan (TCS) is an antibacterial and antifungal agent present in consumers products, and also seen in toothpaste, soaps, detergents and surgical products. It’s having the same mechanism of action as triclosan and potent as antimicrobial agent, which is having risk of antimicrobial resistant and change in hormonal development. TCS was banned from the consumers products by FDA in December 2017, but it still remains high in concentration in the consumer care products. Such as sanitizers, soaps, hand washes deodorant etc. Triclosan is readily absorbed into human skin and oral mucosa and found in various tissues and fluids. These articles describes about human health effects associated with TCS exposure causes reproductive problems and different types of cancers etc which is summarized.
