The evidence that led to the arrests included a map of the house where an event would be taking place for students of the social sciences department. That initial arrest proved to be the tip of an iceberg hidden in the depths of an internet crowded with Anglicisms that call for an explanation. Anglicisms occur when English terms are used in another language to designate new objects, concepts, and phenomena. This photo essay was originally conceived in Portuguese and then translated to English, which explains why it offers a glossary for Anglicisms (originally only the terms of the glossary—the Anglicisms—were in English).
