Abstract

In this short note an emendation is proposed on a text reading in the critical text edition of the homilies of Amphilochius by C. Datema. This reading occurs in a passage dealing with the temptation of Christ. The reading μή in homily VI. 9.219 does not make sense, and it is suggested that the original reading probably was μοι (which is pronounced identically). The reading μοι perfectly suits the sense of the passage, and is a likely emendation in textcritical terms.
