Abstract
Instrumentation & control signals are subject to increasing levels of EMI as unit sizes increase. The paper is about an earthing network separately laid for I & C equipment and cables to obtain improved signal integrity. The network is terminated at the station earth mat to which the conventional earthing network associated with power equipment is also connected. The functions & utility of such a separate earthing network are discussed.
