Abstract

Aiming at the problem that mutual inductance of switched reluctance motor has influence on rotor position estimation, a position estimation method to eliminate mutual inductance is proposed. By the influence of mutual inductance between coil winding on self-inductance is analyzed, it is proposed to inject high frequency interlaced pulse into two-phase coil winding, the inductance envelope calculated from pulse current, then the rotor position signal is estimated by comparing the inductance envelope with inductance threshold. The method eliminates the influence of coil mutual inductance on position estimation and provides the accuracy of position estimation. the experimental have been implemented in a 8/6 structure SRM prototype. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm is correct and feasible.
