Abstract

The aim of this paper is to present the sensitivity and probability analysis of a model of the Czech safety concept of deep geological waste repository. The sensitivity analysis was performed for a set of critical radionuclides, 14C, 36Cl, 79Se, 129I and 226Ra using a variance based method. The main contributors to the variance of model output were identified. It was shown that, if the model output is properly transformed before performing sensitivity analysis, then the calculated sensitivity coefficients are robust indicators of the importance of uncertainties of the individual parameters.
