Abstract

A compressed nine week semester of 12 credit hours can be taught effectively at the Bermuda Biological Station for Research. An introductory level Oceanography course and a junior level Sedimentation course which emphasizes carbonate environment and organism-sediment relationships can be taught in the first five weeks. This leaves the last four weeks for independent field work. Up to twelve majors can be supervised by one instructor with help from Biostation staff.
