Abstract
L'A. suggere que les phenomenes prosodiques a l'interieur d'un domaine de focus large sont a considerer aussi bien d'un point de vue semantique que d'un point de vue syntaxique. Son analyse semantique concernant l'affectation d'un accent dans la phrase en anglais, presente une distinction entre action et non action qui regularise l'accentuation des predicats intransitifs anglais dans les phrases informatives enoncees avec des emotions neutres. Il propose une regle d'affectation d'un accent ascendant, ayant le statut de la regle de correspondance conceptuelle-phonologique dans le sens de la theorie semantique de Jackendoff
