Abstract

Triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs) have emerged as a potential energy harvester and for self-powered motion monitoring. Recently, more and more work is focused on expanding TENG applications. Here, we designed a flexible multifunctional silica gel-based triboelectric nanogenerator (S-TENG) as the self-powered pressure sensor. In our design, the triboelectric layers consist of the silica gel film with a convex array and nylon film. The results showed that the S-TENG-based pressure sensor has good linearity and detection range. Furthermore, the S-TENG-based pressure sensor can be used for basketball training monitoring.
