Abstract

A study of the double-exchange model is presented in the framework of the composite operator method. The operatorial basis is chosen as the eight-component field which exactly solves the atomic limit. By using a polar approximation for the Green's function, it is shown how a fully self-consistent formulation of the ferromagnetic phase of the double-exchange model can be constructed. Results will be presented elsewhere.
