Abstract

Nowadays, Telemedicine and medical imaging has been refined on a large scale in the eHealth electronic process. Telemedicine provides the clinical health care from a distance by using information technology and telecommunication. In rural areas, the access-able of improved medical services cannot be available and the distance barriers can be overcome by the telemedicine. The Medical Images (MI) are affected by the transmission bandwidth while sending and there are no memory spaces for storing the data. To solve these issues faced by the telemedicine, compression of image was introduced. In the proposed paper, the Online Region based-Active Contour Model (OR-ACM) is applied to segment the images and finally the images are compressed by applying the Quantized Discrete Wavelet Transform (Q-DWT) algorithm for reducing the storage. The encryption of the images can be processed by Paillier Cryptosystem (PC) and these encrypted data are saved in the Cloud Storage Providers (CSP). Various tests were organized on the approach, and these results provided the framework provided better performance at the point of recall (sensitivity), precision (specificity) and accuracy compared to the existing methods.
