A secure optimal placement strategy based on Monte Carlo simulation and hypothesis testing

Abstract

The co-location attack evil pursues cloud computing until present. Our approach to address this challenge falls under the secure VM placement strategies which provide an a-priori knowledge about the security level. Besides, it gives the hand to control the maximum rate of the approved insecure placements. To do this, it uses the Monte Carlo simulation and hypothesis testing. We evaluate our approach for correctness in terms of security approximation and performance in terms of energy consumption. It outperforms the existing works in terms of energy consumption with a negligible time delay.
