Abstract
Starting by the block-controllability form, a normal form for multivariable discrete-time systems is developed. The construction of this normal form is made straight-forward by the introduction of the matrix Schur-Cohn table. It shows a one-to-one (scalar-to-matrix) correspondence with the single-input Mansour form [2]. Examples for the construction of the proposed form as well as its application to model reduction are also given.
