Abstract

ABSTRACT Simultaneous Hα observations of four bright Be stars with a photoelectric scanner and an interference filter photometer during seven consecutive nights in May 1978 show (1) no evidence for real changes larger than about 5% in Hα emission strengths during any given night; (2) possible night-to-night changes for two of the stars, though the evidence is uncertain; and (3) definite changes on time scales of months for all four stars.
