Abstract
The presence of a Na atom in CsI: Na after X-ray irradiation is searched by ESR (35 GHz microwave) detected through the magnetic circular dichroism of a related optical absorption band. The results are discussed with the model of Na atom in the crystal where either 3s or 3 p z orbit is the ground state depending on its site.
