Abstract
ABSTRACT Five Be stars classified as pole-on were monitored for linear polarization variability. Only one star (omega Ori) showed polarization changes. These changes are attributed to variable mass loss. Observations of this star indicate an axially symmetric distribution of envelope scattering material.
