Abstract

AbstractWe present a study of the brown dwarf population in Collinder 70 and 121 open star clusters. Using photometric data from several catalogues we select several candidates in both clusters. We cover a circular area of radius equal to 1 degree around the cluster centers. We found candidates with photometry compatible with theoretical evolutionary models for the age and distance of these clusters. (© 2005 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)
