Abstract

A scheme for the control of plant‐parasitic nematodes in the production of planting stocks of garlic (Allium sativum) and strawberry (Fragaria × ananassa) is described. Nematodes controlled are Ditylenchus dipsaci on garlic and D. dipsaci, Aphelenchoides ritzema‐bosi, A. fragariae and Meloidogyne spp. on strawberry. The scheme gave very satisfactory results in the protection of garlic cultivations for over 10 years and strawberry plantations for at least 8 years.
