Abstract

We present a saturated PI controller for velocity regulation in voltage-fed induction motors. Excepting this saturated part of the controller and the use of velocity filtering, our proposal is identical to standard indirect field-oriented control of voltage-fed induction motors, a strategy which has not been proven to be globally asymptotically stable. We show that these simple modifications suffice to prove global asymptotic stability.
