Abstract

A new stable platinum resistance thermometer, and the methods of construction, calibration, and testing are described. The design provides a differential (±2 K) thermometer over the range of 200 to 270 K. After environmental testing, the thermometer has demonstrated differential stability of better than ±1×10−3 K over one year.
